Da Vincier Laboratory is a research group in the graduate institution of technology management of Taiwan Tech (National Taiwan University of Science and Technology). The laboratory was established in 2009 with the aim of advancing researches in technology management and innovation studies. Currently, our research focuses on technology forecasting and knowledge diffusion. We apply main path analysis to trace technology development trajectory and knowledge diffusion paths. Da Vincier Laboratory have developed a unique main path analysis tool that is able to show main paths from various perspective, including local main paths, global main paths, key-route main paths, etc.
Da Vincer labatory has studied several research fields through main path analysis in the past few years. We explored the technological paths of lithium iron phosphate battery, micro-electronics, fuel cell, gm (genetic modified) technologies, etc. Our studies also investigate the diffusion of knowledge in several scientific fields, e.g. data envelope analysis, culture creativity industry, e-tourism, service innovation, and entrepreneurship. The application of main path analysis provides a wide view to observe s&t (science and technology) development with a historical perspective.
